METAVERSE AND SPORT. Philosophical and Legal Inquiries Into Sports in Metaverse: Games, Avatars, Humans.

    We stand in front of a new universe called Metaverse -which, is a universe generated by the technologies which in turn belong to multinational big tech companies . The parallel universe these companies are creating is where we could exist through our virtual representations (avatars) and live our virtual lives, which one way or another include this cultural and social phenomenon, called sports.

    Indeed, sports is already part of Metaverse and the impact that the Metaverse might have on sports as a human activity is the object of this book. Indeed it faces various and diverse issues, some philosophical (is it possible sports in metaverse?, the role of avatars, etc) and other legals (the regulation in accordance to the existing legislation, the financial transactions, etc.). To sum up, this is a book that offers a whole understanding of metaverse withous renouncing to give a critical insight of its possible development.
